OSHA has proposed delaying the requirement that certain employers electronically submit record keeping data. The data were originally to be submitted July 1, 2017, and the change extends that date to December 1, 2017. OSHA had previously issued the rule requiring establishments with 250 or more employees in industries covered by the record keeping regulation and establishments with 20-249 employees in certain high-risk industries to submit certain record keeping data electronically. The delay is partially due to the electronic reporting system not being available until August 1, 2017.
