Last week, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission posted guidance on its website addressing equal pay rights and the rights of pregnant workers under federal law.
The documents are titled, What You Should Know: Equal Pay and the EEOC’s Proposal to Collect Pay Data; Legal Rights for Pregnant Workers under Federal Law; and Helping Patients Deal with Pregnancy-Related Limitations and Restrictions at Work. They can be accessed here.
The documents coincide with last week’s White House United State of Women Summit, in which the EEOC participated. The Summit gathered experts, advocates, and leaders in domestic and international arenas to highlight key issues affecting women and girls and best practices to carry on into the future.
