As previously reported by MSEC, the Colorado Division of Labor and Employment (the Division) has proposed a 1 percent increase to the minimum wage in Colorado from the current $8.23 per hour to $8.31 per hour beginning January 1, 2016. The minimum wage for tipped employees will increase from $5.21 to $5.29 per hour. The proposed Minimum Wage Order Number 32, which sets forth the new minimum wage and identifies employees covered under the Order, has completed the hearing and comment process and is awaiting final approval by the Division. Upon approval, the Division will issue the Colorado Minimum Wage Order 32 poster that employers are required to post in areas frequented by employees where it may be easily read. For those members awaiting new Colorado all-in-one posters from MSEC’s “update service,” these posters will be sent directly to you once the Division has released the Colorado Minimum Wage Order 32 poster.
