On March 4, 2015, Gov. Matt Mead signed HB 0127 into law, changing when final pay is due to a departing employee under Wyoming law. Effective immediately, a departing employee’s final pay is due on the employer’s next regularly scheduled payday, regardless of whether the employee resigned or was terminated. Previously, Wyoming required final pay to be paid within five business days of termination. The new law does not change the definition of wages or anything else pertaining to final pay.
